Orbit has been consistent in developing its own exclusive range of equipment over the past 10 years. Our employees were being quite forgetful, not filling out their time sheets all the time, sometimes even for nearly a fortnight. Overview

Orbit Health & Fitness Solutions was established in 1983 as a direct response to the growing demand for home fitness equipment. Now the largest supplier of fitness equipment in Western Australia is a WA family-owned and operated business with 8 retail outlets, - Osborne Park, Cannington, Booragoon. Joondalup, Malaga, Rockingham, Bunbury & Mandurah.

They hold the major share of the specialty fitness market in Western Australia & are major supplier in the domestic, corporate & commercial market. Unlike many sports and keep fit retailers, Orbit has its own Warehouse, Service, Parts, Delivery & Installation division.

THE PROBLEM

The initial reason for purchasing a biometric time clock was to save on administration time, as many employees were forgetful when filling out their time sheets. Having over 60 staff Orbit Fitness needed an electronic time attendance clocking system.

They decided to go with a company from the eastern states, unfortunately, the costly units were unreliable and the support was also expensive and in the end, the system was inaccurate, leaving the admin staff with bad timesheets. 

After the ongoing frustrations Orbit Fitness contacted AlphaBiz Solution, they asked us to replace their current time clocking system with more robust and dependable devices. 

THE OUTCOME

AlphaBiz offered Orbit Fitness the FingerTec TA200 Finger print scanner, a highly durable, dependable and easy to use a unit, with inexpensive yearly support and no software cost. Today Orbit Fitness has nearly replaced all their old units with the TA200's from AlphaBiz Solutions, however, that's not all.

Since AlphaBiz Solution specialises in accounting and payroll software they were able to develop a custom program to integrate the FingerTec devices into Orbit Fitness' payroll program, allowing for quick and easy data transfer between the two systems. Alphabiz Solutions was able to develop the software on time and on budget adhering to their promise.

Now Orbit fitness is more efficient in its employee administration and saving on costly hardware and headaches.
