What does SLA mean?

A service-level agreement (SLA) defines the level of service you expect from us, providing specific and measurable aspects related to our service offerings. The SLA will evolve over time, with additional knowledge of the client’s requirements, as well as the introduction of new applications and services into the support portfolio provided to the client.

What is ERP?

ERP is an industry acronym for Enterprise Resource Planning. Broadly speaking, ERP refers to automation and integration of a company’s core business to help them focus on effectiveness & simplified success.

What is Cloud Computing?

Cloud computing means storing and accessing data and programs over the Internet instead of your computer’s hard drive. The cloud is just a metaphor for the Internet.

What is a datacentre?

A data centre is a facility that centralizes an organization’s IT operations and equipment, and where it stores, manages, and disseminates its data. Data centres house a network’s most critical systems and are vital to the continuity of daily operations.

What is Private Hosting?

A virtual private server (VPS) is a virtual machine sold as a service by an Internet hosting service. A VPS runs its own copy of an operating system, and customers have superuser-level access to that operating system instance, so they can install almost any software that runs on that OS.

How do I upgrade my Sybiz software to the next version?

It is always recommended that someone from our team performs the upgrades and reinstallations, as we are trained in all aspects of your software and your specific configurations.

When does my software license need renewing?

The login window of Sybiz Vision and Sybiz Visipay displays the current licence expiration date and time remaining until your licence needs renewing. In the weeks prior to your licence expiring, the expiry information text will turn red and you will receive audio notification.
For customers using Sybiz Vision Classic, in the weeks prior to your licence expiring you will receive a notification each time you log in to your software informing you of the days remaining until your licence needs renewing.

I have paid my SybizCover renewal and I need to unlock my software, what do I do?

  • For the SQL products please go to the login screen and click 'Licensing', then select 'Request/Renew'. Then click 'Yes' on the pop-up window asking if you wish to renew. Click 'Submit'.
  • For Sybiz Vision Classic, please go to your login screen and click 'Unlock Vision'. Then go to the pending unlock tab and click 'Unlock Software'.
  • For Sybiz Vision Service Manager (VSM), please login as the System Manager. Then log into a company, go to File, Unlock, and select 'Web Unlock'.

I cannot unlock my Sybiz software via the web, what should I do?

If the web-unlock service is unavailable you should be given the option to print or email the unlock request. Sybiz can then generate the unlock code and send it back to you. For SQL products please contact Sybiz BusinessCare.

I am getting the error code 4008.

If you are getting the error 4008 on your Sybiz Vision software the first step is to re-index. If the issue persists call our support staff on (08) 9277 2226.

I am getting the error code 9.

If you are getting the error 9 on your Sybiz Vision software the first step is to check your printer for any issues. If the issue persists call our support staff on (08) 9277 2226.

I can only see the barcode.

If you can only see the barcode press F6 on your keyboard to change to normal view. If the issue persists call our support staff on (08) 9277 2226.

MYOB EXO: SQL 2008 database support.

Unfortunately, MYOB has ceased technical support for SQL 2008 if you have any issue please call our support staff on (08) 9277 2226.

How can I update my software to the latest version?

MYOB Advanced: You will be updated to the latest version automatically by MYOB.
MYOB EXO: If you would like to upgrade to the latest version of MYOB EXO, please contact us and our support team will perform the upgrade for you.

Will my MYOB Advanced be available during software maintenance?

In most situations, maintenance will require access to be disabled temporarily while maintenance activities are performed. MYOB makes every effort to minimise downtime during such events.

If I do not renew on time, will MYOB Advanced keep my data?

It is your responsibility to retain your data for compliance purposes. If you decide to terminate your subscription for MYOB Advanced, we strongly advise you extract your data as soon as possible. MYOB will take steps to delete your data from MYOB Advanced 150 days following the effective date of termination, whether or not you have extracted your data.

What is the difference between automated backups and database snapshots?

MYOB Advanced has two different ways to backup and restore your data: automated backups and database snapshots. MYOB Advanced performs continuous automated backups of your data with a 30-day retention period. MYOB can restore a backup replacing your live environment on request. A backup restore will result in loss of data for any company(s) that have been used since the date of the backup. Whereas the database snapshot feature allows you to take snapshots of your company and restore them at a later time. Each snapshot takes an equal amount of storage space, so your snapshots could quickly add up to the total storage you have subscribed to. Only 5 snapshots can be held at any time in the database. You can elect to export the snapshot to your own local storage for long-term retention.

How do I know what my database usage is?

Users with appropriate security rights can view current resource usage and entitlements in-product. MYOB Advanced will alert you once you are within 90% of your storage limit. This alert will appear within the product on the footer of the screen.

Can I add extra fields?

Alphabiz works with you and your team to understand your organisation’s processes and procedures. If fields need to be added following implementation, this can be achieved by your own staff or by our support team.
